MergeMole is a native macOS menu bar app. No server, no account beyond GitHub, no data leaving your machine.
System requirements
MergeMole runs on any Mac with macOS 15 or later, plus a GitHub account. The free, on-device triage uses Apple's Foundation Models, which requires macOS 26 (Tahoe) on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later). Older systems can still use the AI triage by bringing your own provider like OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local model, or skip AI entirely and just keep a clean menu bar view of the PRs that require your attention.

Download and open MergeMole
Grab the latest signed build for macOS, drag it into Applications, and open it. MergeMole lives in your menu bar, not the Dock, so its always available.

Connect your GitHub account
Paste a GitHub personal access token (classic) with read access to your pull requests. MergeMole saves it in your macOS Keychain, never anywhere else. Everything is stored locally.

Let it triage
MergeMole ranks any open PRs by priority and review effort level by checking the full PR context and diff, and writes a one-line summary for each.
