MergeMole

Changelog

A running record of what's shipped in MergeMole.

1.3.0

MergeMole 1.3.0

  • Card appearance is now two settings: Layout (Standard or Compact) and Detail (Detailed or Minimal).
  • The new Minimal option strips cards down to the title, repo, branches, and the AI verdict.
  • PRs from archived repositories now show a small archive icon next to the repo name.
  • Your existing card style choice carries over automatically.
1.2.0

MergeMole 1.2.0

  • First-run setup: new installs get a short guided walkthrough. Connect GitHub, pick your AI reviewer, and set up your tabs and menu bar badge, with a live demo of the app on the first screen. Skip any time and finish later in Settings.
  • Already using MergeMole? Nothing changes. Existing installs with a saved token skip setup entirely.
  • Starting fresh: Reset from Settings now brings the setup walkthrough back on next launch.
1.1.2

MergeMole 1.1.2

  • Archived repositories: a new General setting lets you hide pull requests from archived repositories. The panel, tab counts, and menu bar badge all respect it, and the AI analyzer skips hidden PRs so it never spends time on things you are not looking at. Archived PRs are included by default, so nothing changes unless you flip the switch.
  • Recalibrated size chips: PR size buckets are now more forgiving. XS is under 50 changed lines, S up to 250, M up to 1000, L up to 2000, and XL beyond that. Small housekeeping PRs stop looking bigger than they are.
  • What's New: the About tab now links straight to the changelog at mergemole.app/changelog.
1.1.1

MergeMole 1.1.1

  • Compact cards: a new density option for the PR list. Compact shows everything the full card does, just tighter: smaller type, trimmed spacing, no avatars. Switch anytime in Settings → General → Cards.
  • Refresh every minute: the fastest auto-refresh interval is now 1 minute, down from 5, for the folks who live in their review queue. The default stays every 15 minutes.
  • When on-device AI can't run, the reason now shows inside the Apple Intelligence provider card itself instead of floating below it.
1.1.0

MergeMole 1.1.0

  • Custom tabs: turn any GitHub search into its own tab. One repo, a label, a teammate's PRs, anything search can express. Click New Tab in Settings, build the query with one-click tips, and a live plain-English preview shows exactly what the tab will match. Custom tabs work just like the built-in ones: reorder them, hide them, count them in the menu bar, and AI triages them too.
  • A new app icon with the macOS Tahoe glass look. It also now shows up properly rounded on macOS 15, in the installer and in Applications.
  • Check for Updates is now in the panel's menu, next to Preferences.
1.0.2

MergeMole 1.0.2

  • Now runs on macOS 15 (Sequoia) and later. On-device AI still needs macOS 26 (Tahoe); on older versions you can bring your own AI provider or run without AI.
  • Clearer status in Settings when on-device AI isn't available, and the setup buttons now open the right settings tab.
1.0.1

MergeMole 1.0.1

  • Now runs on every Mac with macOS 26 (Tahoe), not just the newest release
  • A cleaner, smaller installer window
1.0.0

MergeMole 1.0 is here.

MergeMole lives in your menu bar and shows the GitHub pull requests that actually need you, with AI doing the triage so you always know what to look at first.

In this first release:

  • On-device AI reads each open PR and ranks it by priority and effort, so the ones that matter rise to the top
  • Every PR gets a plain one line summary of what it does, alongside its review state, checks, and merge status
  • Everything runs locally on your Mac. It's completely free, and your code never leaves your device
  • Want a different model? Connect your own OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic, or local Ollama endpoint. Prefer no AI? Turn it off and use MergeMole as a fast, clean pull request list
